What is the difference between a trundle drawer and a standard storage drawer?
The mattress drawer is not a storage container, but an additional, fully functional sleeping space. Unlike the storage drawer, it has its own solid wood slatted base, is additionally reinforced, and runs on wheels with a higher load capacity — making it suitable for sleeping. Its weight capacity is 160 kg. The slatted base is included in the price and does not need to be purchased separately.
What mattress fits the trundle drawer?
The drawer is matched to the size of the bed ordered. The mattress for the drawer has the same width as the main mattress and is 8 cm shorter — for example, with a bed for a 90×200 cm mattress, the drawer fits a mattress up to 90×192 cm. The maximum mattress thickness in the drawer is 15 cm. The mattress is not included and should be selected separately for the chosen size.
Does a bed with a trundle drawer take up more space in the room?
No. The bed takes up the same amount of space as the other versions, and the drawer itself has the same external dimensions as the storage drawer. As with any drawer, you need free space in front of the bed to pull it out fully; during everyday use, it remains tucked in and does not take up extra space. You only pull it out when a second person is sleeping.
Does the trundle drawer affect the bed’s stability?
No. The drawer runs on rubber-coated wheels and is independent of the bed’s load-bearing structure — the bed’s weight capacity remains unchanged at 200 kg. The drawer itself has its own weight capacity of 160 kg. Everyday use does not require lifting or moving any bed elements — simply slide it out on its wheels.
